Health Department, ICT is responsible for delivering preventive healthcare as well as curative health care services in the rural areas of Islamabad Capital Territory.

Objectives & Functions

  • Provision of health services to the rural population of ICT through first level care facilities
  • Execution of different health programs/projects
  • Out-break investigation and control
  • Enforcement of Drugs Act, 1976 and rules there under
  • Enforcement of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Ordinance, 1962
  • Enforcement of West Pakistan Pure Food Ordinance 1960 and pure Food Act, 1965
